Char. Pilakoutas Ltd, MINI Cooper Cabrio


ANT1 in association with Ch. Pilakoutas Ltd and GT Digital developed and run an SMS text competition involving a big prize for the winner. The prize was a MNI Cooper Cabrio.

The SMS competition was promoted for 3 months (from 1/7/05 until 16/10/05). Participants were invited to register into the competition by simply sending an SMS text and in return receive a confirmation of participation in the form of a unique code.

At the end of the competition a random draw was held to select the winner of the MNI Cooper Cabrio. The draw involved the picking of a random code number from a pool of codes which were issued to all the participants during the competition period. The holder of the winning code claimed the prize.

The draw was held on 28/12/05 at Ch. Pilakoutas’ showrooms in Nicosia and presented by the Managing Director, Mr. Charalambos Pilakoutas in front of a big public crowd.

The promotion aimed at creating a buzz around the MINI Cooper brand and at increasing Ch. Pilakoutas’ exposure as a leading importer and distributor of branded motor vehicles in the Cyprus market.

The competition gave the opportunity to Ch. Pilakoutas to create a significant OPT-IN database of potential customer and most importantly to strengthen their brand image.
