Through a Scratch & Win Card campaign, EKO aimed at boosting sales at its petrol stations nationwide and at the same time collecting a valuable OPT-IN database of its customers for future promotional activities.

Idea & Implementation

With every purchase worth €25, customers visiting EKO’s petrol stations nationwide received a Scratch & Win Card.

Through the Scratch & Win Cards, customers had the opportunity to win instant prizes, such as EKO collectable gifts, car petrol, and heating petrol.

At the same time, each Scratch & Win Card had a unique code which customers had to register by SMS and therefore enter the draw for 2 Hyundai i10 cars.

In order to attain eligibility and enter the draw for the 2 cars, participants had to send their personal details by SMS along with their unique code or fill in their details at the back of the scratch card and then submit it.

Objectives

EKO through this unique promotional campaign of offering the chance to win instant prizes and 2 Hyundai i10 cars through the scratch & win cards, aimed at boosting sales of all of its petrol stations nationwide. An additional goal was to collect valuable OPT-IN database with clients’ demographic details for future promotional activities by the company.

Results

Entry results were remarkable and exceeded 72,000 entries over a period of 2 months, while a valuable updated OPT-IN database was created. The campaign also resulted in a significant increase of sales throughout all the EKO petrol stations nationwide.
