Costas Papaellinas Organization, Our Moment perfume

Costas Papaellinas Organization (‘CPO’) boosts sales of One Direction’s ‘Our Moment’ perfume with Capture the Moment kiosk promotion.

Costas Papaellinas Organization in association with Debenhams and GT Digital launched a GT Photo Kiosk campaign for the month of December 2013. As a result, Debenhams boosted the sales of Our Moment perfume whilst offering an engaging and fun experience to its customers.

Idea & Implementation

GT Digital created a fun and interactive mechanism for the promotion of ‘Our Moment’ perfume. During December 2013 a GT Photo Kiosk was installed at Debenhams store at The Mall of Cyprus in Nicosia. Visitors were invited to get their Snapshot with One Direction band’s real life silhouettes and get the chance to win 5 x 100 ml perfumes.

GT Photo Kiosks were connected with Debenhams’ facebook page. Participants needed to like the Debenhams’ Facebook page and then smile for their snapshot. The kiosk application captured the participants’ basic data (name, email, town etc). Participants had the option of posting their snapshot on their facebook Timeline.

Participants were encouraged to visit Debenhams’ Facebook page and vote for their favorite picture. At the end of the competition 5 participants were chosen at random who each received a 100 ml ‘Our Moment’ perfume.

In parallel an identical promotion was created on facebook, to increase the reach of the brand to those who were unable to visit Debenhams’ store at the mall of Cyprus and allowing those from the comfort of their homes to vote for the best picture. The person who was featured in the picture with the most votes won the One Direction band life-size silhouette prop.

Objectives

The campaign aimed at promoting ‘Our Moment’ brand and to creating a valuable database of customers loyal to the brand.

Results

The success of the campaign was defined by the considerable number of people who voted and who were engaged with the brand for the duration of the promotion. The promo went viral and created a thrilling impact on the brand ultimately leading to an increase in sales. Debenhams was also able to sign up new customers hence expanding its valuable database for use in future promotional activities.
