Costas Papaellinas Organization boosts sales of Justin Bieber ‘Girlfriend’ & ‘Someday’ perfumes.
Costas Papaellinas Organization in association with Glow Store and GT Digital launched 2 Photo Kiosk campaigns in 2013. The turnout of the artist’s fans was significant which led to increase in sales of Justin Bieber’s fragrances.
Idea & Implementation
GT Digital created an entertaining and interactive mechanism for the promotion of Justin Bieber’s fragrances namely ‘Girlfriend’ and ‘Someday’ perfumes.
GT Photo Kiosks were installed at Glow store at the Mall of Cyprus in Nicosia. Visitors were invited to get their photo taken with Justin Bieber’s real life-sized silhouette and get the chance to win Justin Bieber’s perfumes and bags.
GT Photo Kiosks were connected with Justin Bieber’s Fragrances Cyprus facebook page. Participants needed to like the Facebook page and then stand next to the silhouette and smile for their snapshot. The application captured participants’ basic data. Participants’ snapshot was posted on their Timeline on Facebook and uploaded on JB Fragrances Cyprus Facebook page at the same time.
GT Digital developed a second Facebook application through which participants were encouraged to visit JB Fragrances Cyprus Facebook page and vote for the photos taken by the kiosk application and select their favourite.
Objectives
The campaign aimed at promoting Justin Bieber’s line of fragrances and at enhancing brand visibility among the youth and most importantly at creating a valuable database of loyal fans to the brand.
Results
The success of the campaign was defined by the tremendous turnout of participants at the Mall. The promotion created quite a buzz around Justin Bieber’s brand ultimately leading to an increase in sales.
Costas Papaellinas Organization was also able to sign up new customers and increasing the Facebook ‘Likes’ hence expanding its valuable database for use in future promotional activities.
