TGI Fridays, TGIF Recommend & Win

TGI FRIDAYS in collaboration with GT Digital introduced a new Facebook application to promote its new RIBS menu with 3 new sauces. The promotion was released under the title ‘RECOMMEND & WIN’.

The main focus of the promotion is on encouraging FRIDAYS’ fans to recommend FRIDAYS’ ribs to at least 5 Facebook friends and win a prize in return. The Facebook promotion rewards all participants with a free dessert or a free cocktail. The choice of prize is up to the participants.

The structure of the application included a complex multiple invitation mechanism for the friends of the participants. Sharing on Facebook was also part of this application.

The promotion was supported with an aggressive yet targeted Facebook advertisement directed at people who have not yet ‘Liked’ TGI FRIDAYS’ page.

This exciting campaign created a viral response on Facebook seen by thousands of users.
