MTN Cyprus Ltd, Spin & Win by MTN

MTN Cyprus Ltd (MTN) commissioned GT Digital to develop a web application offering all new PayMonthly subscribers that sign an 18-month contract between the period of 2/2/2012 and 31/3/2012 the opportunity to participate in the SPIN & WIN competition and win fantastic prizes.

Every person signing onto the 18-month contract wins with the minimum prize being 1 month free.

Implementation

Customers upon submitting and validating their contract via MTN’s distribution network of 92 outlets including GT Digital’s interactive kiosks they enter automatically the SPIN & WIN competition. Contestants first enter the contract number into a GUI hosted on dedicated shop terminals and through GT Digital’s kiosks for verification.  Then by pressing the SPIN button a digital type of “wheel of fortune” rotates until it stops and the prize item is generated.

Objectives

Through this innovative web application mechanism MTN aimed at converting and acquiring new port in customers. MTN expected acquiring a significant number of new subscribers per month. The web application also enabled MTN to collect valuable data and a detailed analysis of the performance level of the individual shops to be used for future promotional activities.
